Frankenstein?

Yes, Frankenstein. Frankenstein is a novel written by Mary Shelley, a very well-known author, about a mad scientist named Frankenstein. Who, using some old limbs and a little electricity, managed to bring a new person to life. But what he created didn’t look anything like a person. Nevertheless, he brought it to life. And he needed every piece to make it work. From fingers to toes to ears to arms. There wasn’t one piece that wasn’t needed. The way Frankenstein needed every piece to create this monster is quite similar to the way the Healthcare system in Argentina is. Every component of the health care system is essential for making sure everybody receives the best care that they can provide. The three main components of the Argentine healthcare system are the private sector, the public sector, and the Obras Sociales which are basically unions, very similar to a teachers union. Each of these three sectors are critical, and the Argentine healthcare system wouldn’t be the same without all of them. Each of the three serves a significant portion of the Argentine population. The private sector is for the more wealthy citizens, those who are able to pay a monthly rate of around $200 as Dr. Novic said. The private sector has very good care and ensures that you receive it within a much shorter period than you would in the public sector. However, that doesn’t mean the public sector is bad by any means. Argentina is one of the many countries that offer free health care to anyone within Argentina, even if you’re not a citizen. So that being said, the public sector is very important in serving people with lower incomes, who maybe don’t have a job or can’t afford the monthly rate. Lastly is the Obras Sociales. These are Unions in which 9% of your paycheck is deposited into a fund to provide healthcare. You contribute 3% of your paycheck, while your employer contributes 6%. The Obras Sociales meet the demands of anyone with a job who still may not be able to afford the monthly rate of the private sector. Now you can see why all of these sectors are vital, they each serve a significant portion of the population, leaving nobody out. Just like Frankenstein, every piece of the Argentine healthcare system is needed to come together and create something bigger and better.
