My First Impressions

After a long day of traveling, we finally touched ground in Ireland early Sunday morning. From the moment we arrived, I noticed the warmth and friendliness of the workers at the airport and the locals we met along the journey to the accommodation. I had always thought of Ireland as a peaceful and welcoming country, so being able to confirm that in person was cool to see. As we explored the city, I was delighted to find that it exceeded my expectations. We met up with two separate tour guides who gave us their knowledge of the rich history of the country. We walked through Dublin Castle, saw many landmarks, and got to explore the Trinity College campus. After this, we ate lunch and then began our bus tour which took us all over the city of Dublin. My favorite part of the bus tour was stopping at phoenix park and exploring around there for a bit. Between the historical landmarks, stunning architecture, and breathtaking scenery, I couldn’t help but feel grateful to be able to be in the situation where I can experience this all. The energy and culture that the city of Dublin has is something truly special. I am looking forward to the upcoming site visits along with the day trips we have.
