Today was awesome. We got to visit a university, learn about a company called TechTest and go on a scavenger hunt in Prague. The best part of the day was our walk to the university. On the maybe 20-minute walk we passed a playhouse where Mozart played, a big square where a man named Jan Palach set himself on fire to protest a Soviet invasion and the place where Czechoslovakia was declared a country. It really made me think about how densely packed the city is with history. Back in my lovely home of Pennsylvania there is plenty of history, but it seems more spread out. We have Gettysburg to the south, the place where the Declaration of Independence in Philidelphia and Fort Pitt in downtown Pittsburgh. Those sights are all miles apart while here in Prague it seems that every street corner has history too it.
