How to say “pspspsp” in Czech

The way the shop keepers tend to their storefronts, washing the windows, sweeping the entry, adjusting their goods to better catch the light. The scent of blooming lilac but never of smoke, despite the plentiful presence of cigarettes. The hesitation before exchanging a greeting, not knowing which language to expect. Sounds of street musicians, church bells, and herds of heels striking cobblestone streets. Ornate details peppering every inch of the city. It is the little things that make Prague so charming to me.

Today began with a presentation hosted by the Innovation Center here in Prague, where we learned about and discussed the start-up climate in Czechia. It was insightful to learn about the attributes of successful companies and the resources SIC can supply to help them achieve their goals. Following this we visited a fallout shelter established during the Cold War. I am continually enthralled with the rich history of Czechia, especially in such recent history. I think it may be interesting to analyze the ventilation system of the bunker further for my future project work.

In the afternoon Claire and I visited the museum of Cubism. I was surprised to learn about the short duration of this era (1912-1918) as it is so prevalent still today. I enjoyed learning about the theoretical motivations for this design type as it was not something I had before given much thought to. In the evening I walked by the river and sketched some sights. I got a parfait from a bakery and took an embarrassing amount of time to count out my change. It was delicious.
