As I walk the streets of Ireland, I am captivated by the rich diversity of both the traditional and modern elements intermingling seamlessly – a perfect blend of the old and the new. As Dr. Kelly mentioned, Ireland is still a baby; young and still evolving to keep pace with the modern era while proudly embracing its rich cultural heritage and countryside customs. While some urban areas represent the emergence of the new Ireland with modern infrastructure, a thriving economy, and cosmopolitan flair, the old Ireland is still very much alive. Its timeless cultural traditions, such as the enchanting Irish folklore, music, and Gaelic language, are still celebrated today, and the people are fiercely committed to preserving their close-knit sense of community.

After going on a tour of Google, I am strongly considering the possibility of working there due to the warm and welcoming environment that I experienced, along with the strong sense of psychological safety that the company seems to radiate. While I was informed that the sales department could be a competitive environment, I am confident that I would thrive in a healthy competitive setting and believe that Google would be a great fit for both my values and personality.
