Today was a short day. We visited Forvia, which is a company that makes exhaust pipes and valves for automobiles. Inside the plant was pretty fun to watch. There were a lot of robot arms in the assembly line and intricate wielding which was all mesmerizing to watch. During the tour, however, I couldn’t help but think about Forvia’s future. They only make exhaust pipes and valves for cars which is only used on traditional combustion engine cars which are becoming more obsolete. It is similar to Hoerbiger’s case where they only make a specific part for combustion engine vehicles. What is different between them is that Hoerbiger doesn’t just make parts for cars, they also make chips and valves for other products too. Grob, however, is different from both because they can make a new machine for a specific company and this case machines for automobile companies. Forvia addressed this issue and want to switch to hydrogen fuel cells. I still question the safety of using hydrogen fuel cells, which is why I am still not quite sure what will be the future of this company.

Breakfast today we went to Weisswurstfruhstuck, but I did not get anything. I only had water today until I got dinner. I had a schnitzel along with fries which pretty much filled me throughout the day. My dining rating for today is a 6/10.

Tomorrow we visit our last company which is Audi. This is a more recognizable company and everyone knows they manufacture cars. This should be a lot more self-explanatory as to what they do when it comes to the changing market, but still should be interesting to see how the cars are made.
