Today we started our day with Weiss Wurst breakfast. This traditional German
breakfast of white sausage and pretzels was something I was very excited for.
It lived up to my expectations as it was unique and interesting, but the
sausage and Pretzels were a great combination and what I found funny was that
all the Germans were drinking beer at 9 in the morning. Overall, this was a
good experience of German culture and I’m very glad it was a part of the trip.
Next, we went on a tour of Forvia. The tour was incredibly interesting as we saw them
making all kinds of parts and saw their automation systems which we are all mind
blowing. We sat there for roughly 30 minutes in awe watching the robots
completely assemble apart from start to finish with 0 human intervention.
We continued through the plant asking questions left and right as we were all so
interested as it was unlike anything we had seen before. All 3 of the companies
have been fantastic this week but I think Forvia and GROB were my favorites.
Continuing the thought from yesterday about which company is set up best for E
mobility I easily still think it is GROB as they are already in the industry
while the Other 2 companies are farther behind. I think Forvia will be fine as
they are making seats and lights as well which will be used in the car no
matter what, but I think from what we saw at the factories GROB positioned
themselves in the best out of the three.
Finally, I finished my day with a typical dinner of Pork Schnitzel. I had this on my first day here but wanted to
give it another try as it’s a typical German dish, and it did not disappoint. I
decided to use that as my picture for today as I greatly enjoyed it. This has
been a great week so far and I can barely contain my excitement to visit AUDI tomorrow.
