In the morning, we met up with a member of Docusign. He explained a bit about his journey to Docusign as well as specific information about the company. By comparing and contrasting companies like Google and Docusign we can learn a lot about business’s cultures and their approaches to multinational business. Google has an employee minded approach to business as well as their strong value of collaboration. Docusign puts high value on being able to create a positive experience and trust between them and their customers. They also both focus on being able to provide efficient products to as many individuals and other companies as possible. The speaker’s path to where he is today I thought was inspiring for a few reasons. I think his path wasn’t a direct path but he still became very successful despite that. I often feel a lot of pressure to follow a direct path in my career so seeing this example gives me a lot of relief that sometimes the right path isn’t always a direct path.
