During our recent site visit, my team and I had a great opportunity to gather valuable information for our upcoming presentation. It was an exciting experience as we explored the location and took thorough notes to help us construct our presentation.
The site visit was a crucial part of our process/presentation, where we got to see things firsthand. It wasn’t just about observing from a distance; we were able to immerse ourselves in the surroundings and absorb all the important details. This hands-on approach allowed us to gain a deeper understanding of the subject matter. By being on-site, we were able to experience the environment and appreciate the specifics that are often missed when relying solely on research or second-hand information. This first-hand experience will undoubtedly add more value and credibility to our presentation.
One of the things that stood out to me was how the Guinness Enterprise Centre has a strong culture of innovation and flexibility. They were able to quickly pivot their operations to adapt to the challenges posed by COVID-19, such as moving to remote work and offering virtual events. This showed me the importance of being open to change and being able to adapt to unexpected situations.
Another important takeaway for me was the value of having an entrepreneurial mindset, which includes qualities such as creativity, risk-taking, and resilience. These qualities can be applied to many areas of life and can be beneficial for personal growth and career development. I believe that having an entrepreneurial mindset is especially important in today’s world, where there is so much uncertainty and rapid change.
I have had some experiences that have helped me develop my entrepreneurial mindset and transferable skills. I recently completed a recruiting internship with the Pitt football team, where I learned the importance of networking and communication. I also have an upcoming internship with the Premier Lacrosse League this summer, where I hope to continue developing my leadership and creativity skills.
