Today we visited Wargaming. We had to wake up early for a two-hour bus ride to the wargaming headquarters in Nicosia. Once we arrived and entered the building, we could immediately tell that the building was new and had state-of-the-art equipment. Once in the lobby, we got a tour of the facilities wargaming offers. First, we went to the bottom floor, where they had a gym, spa, and vapor room. Wargaming has designed their hours for their employees to have flexible hours so they can go to maintain an excellent work-life balance. They promote this by having their gym open most of the day so employees can use it whenever possible. From there, we went up to the thirteenth floor to see the fantastic view of the building. Since Nicosia is located in the center of the island, you could see practically everywhere on the island from the top of the wargaming building. 

After the building tour, we had presentations from some of the employees. The first presentation was an overview of the company and its history. Wargaming is an international company with building all around the world and has five hundred million people playing their games. The game wargaming has made our the world of tanks, the world of warships, and the war of warplanes. Even though these games have been in service for ten years, Wargaming was not originally a historical team death match company. Before the World of Tanks, Wargaming was a real-time stats hey game developer. 

As a gaming company, Wargaming has a different supply chain than a traditional company. The gaming supply chain is predominately producer platform and consumer. Wargaming can operate as both a producer and a platform. Wargaming is a producer because it designs and publishes its games. However, Wargaming can also be seen as a platform. On PC, Wargaming has its platform, so it does not have to pay for other platforms like Steam. Despite having its platform, Wargaming chooses to put its game on other platforms like Steam because the player base on Steam and other platforms, the cost to be on it is outweighed by the benefits from being on these platforms.
