Dìa siete: Lujàn y Rodizio Estancia

Hey everyone! I can’t believe it’s already been a week here in Argentina it’s going so fast. Today we didn’t have any lectures and got to enjoy some fresh air. We went to Basilica de Lujàn. It was a little over an hour of a bus ride. Basilica de Lujàn is a Roman Catholic church building in Lujàn, Buenos Aires. It was absolutely beautiful inside. Inside, mass was occurring so it was cool to see a mass happen considering I am methodist and not Catholic. There were also many little shops outside of the Basilica. We stayed there for about a half hour.

After that we left to a ranch called Rodizio Estancia. It was really cool to see the country side of Argentina rather than being in the city of Buenos Aires. It was extremely relaxing too. We rode bikes, saw many animals like horses, cows, pigs, chickens, and sheep. We also played volleyball and spike ball which was really fun. We had a really good lunch and we tried many different things like pig colon, some sorts of meats, and blood sausage. It was very filling especially with dessert too. Overall it was a really good day.

Since tomorrow is Mother’s Day I would like to say a few things about my mom. My mom is probably one of my favorite people in this world. She is always here for me and I’m incredibly grateful for that. She goes above and beyond for me and my brother and we wouldn’t be able to do it without her. She would always support me at every softball or volleyball tournament no matter how far away they are or how close it is. She is my rock and I honestly don’t know what I would do without her. I hope that one day I will be half the mother my mom is and I would consider myself blessed.
