Today we woke up pretty early. Although we were all tired, we were excited for the day. Today we got to go to a traditional non-touristy German restaurant for breakfast. They served us veal/pork sausage, pretzels, honey mustard, and some cheese and crackers. Additionally, you normally receive beer as well, but we opted out for obvious reasons. After this we actually were able to go back to the hotel for an hour. Almost every single one of us slept on the way back and then took a nap at the hotel. It definitely helped us refresh for our company visit.

Around 12:20pm we left for the company Forvia. This company visit particularly I had to pay attention too because it was my company for our final presentations. When we got there, we had to give our IDs, we were told we cannot take pictures, and they took us up to a room. There they provided plenty of snacks and drinks, which was nice. They also gave us lab coats, glasses, and footwear protection. This was funny.
Finally, we split into two groups and began our company visit. I liked how they split us up as it made it a lot easier to follow along and actually hear our factory guide. Especially because I had to pay close attention. The tour lasted about an hour and was so cool. We got to learn about some of the different products they make for some companies and their own! We really got to see robot technology up close. For example, they use laser technology and robots for a large part of their assembly line. Lauren even got to participate in the assembly line which was cool.
After this exciting tour we went back to the room and had a presentation about the background, future of the company, and potential positions/internships. This part was interesting however I will note that some of the answers to our questions were hard to follow and very wordy. I hope this doesn’t affect our presentation too much. One thing that shocked me was that they have 150,000 employees. I did not realize how big they are compared to the other companies we visited. It also varied because the company is a Tier 1 and Tier 2 supplier. I believe the other ones we went to were only Tier 2.
Anyways after this tour we took the Tram home and us girls and I were going to get dinner. Kaylee and I went to the grocery store before and once we got home, we ended up falling asleep. We slept from 5:30pm all the way till 7:30am so it is safe to say the day was very action packed.

Next stop is Audi…talk soon!
