Today was a busy day at the museum. Firstly, we got up decently late as the tour didn’t start till after noon. That gave plenty of time for a decent breakfast. After the long morning, we took a quick trip on the transit to Kunsthalle Praha. This place was special because it was actually completely architecturally re-designed. The concrete that was used was too unstable and therefore needed to gutted for a more sustainable aggregate. Overall, the museum was quite incredible. The stories of how the building was preserved with materials is one that can be fascinating.

After the museum tour, Pitt alumni from across the Czech Republic came to meet with us. We had dinner and shared conversations about our experiences back in the States. I had met a guy who graduated in 2009, and was originally from the Czech Republic. He actually studied abroad in the United States, and didn’t consider Pittsburgh as his original home. If I were to have a chance in being an engineer overseas, I would definitely consider it as a yes. I believe that life is too short to worry about being comfortable, and experiencing things that might be tough is a good way of challenging yourself.
