EPIC

Today, we visited the EPIC Museum in Dublin which is the Irish Emigration Museum. My first impression of the museum was that I found it really unique that it was divided up into different themed rooms. Each room was themed with different stories, activities, or cultural aspects. We have learned so much about the history of Ireland and different cultural aspects but I feel as though the museum taught some new things. One of the things I felt like the museum taught me was more about the art and music in Ireland. Seeing the impact Irish emigration has had on so many other countries through art and music really stood out to me. Learning about different artists I know, that have Irish heritage was interesting to see. One of my other favorite parts of the museum was they had photos of letters and translated them which was interesting to read. Overall, I’m glad we were able to visit this museum because it taught me some different aspects of Irish culture.
