Today we were surprised when waiting for our bus and seeing what was basically a party bus pull up! Unfortunately I did not take any pictures of the inside, but it was laid out with tables of four and we were able to get comfortable for our trip to the other side of the country.
We were then off to the west coast of Ireland, with our first stop being the famous Cliffs of Moher. The cliffs were what I was most excited about on this trip, but they still exceeded all my expectations. We walked along a path through the cliffs and saw cows and sheep grazing along the hils, a small castle, and buskers playing traditional Irish music. This was a heavy tourist area. As we’ve travelled I’ve thought a lot about how people here must feel about tourist attractions, but the cliffs seem to be one of those things that are so amazing that even people in Ireland must take time to go visit them.

After leaving we then drove to the town of Galway (I listened to Ed Sheerans Galway Girl on the way!). Galway was an adorable little town, and we were able to window shop and stop in thrift stores as we walked through. You could tell that they are used to tourists, as they had multiple souvenir shops along the way. I had fish and chips at a little cafe, and then we were back on the bus enjoying the beautiful scenery.

Although I’ve enjoyed the city and learning about all the businesses here very much, I think that if (or hopefully when!) I return to Ireland, I would spend all my time driving through and experiencing the rural areas and the amazing views. The fresh air and lush greens are just as I’ve always pictured, and I just can’t seem to get enough of it.
