Today, we visited Microsoft and ThinkHouse and both companies have their own approaches and takes on AI technology and how to adapt their businesses to stay relevant in a changing world. Based on my previous knowledge about AI and what we heard today I think it can bring a lot of good things to our lives. I also do believe that AI isn’t going to overrun humans in the workplace but rather just change how we work. Whether we like or don’t like AI I think it is a type of technology we won’t be able to avoid for long. All 5 of the businesses we have visited so far had their own unique prospectives on what culture looks like in their business. I think that how the employees are treated and how they treat each other has a major impact on a companies culture. At the root of it I believe that having a successful company culture starts with its employees. To me, Microsoft had the most appealing company culture. I found it most appealing because of their emphasis on empowering people and protecting the planet. Microsoft also seems to value their employees’ wellbeing outside of the workplace. Overall, I think it would be a great place to work.
