Today was particularly informative. We began by touring Nano Energy, a young company in Czechia. It was explained that the role of the business was to connect devices to different consumers looking for green fuel. These devices were biomass dependent, producing much less carbon emissions than the burning of coal. The presenters said that the ability to achieve carbon neutrality is well within means, suggesting an excess of energy production to be an issue at times.
I wonder be really interested to conduct an analysis of energy production system we learned about at CEZ and compare it to the alternatives Nano Energy is using. If burning biofuel is much cleaner and accessible, why isn’t it being pursued as an alternative internationally? I am interested to learn about the possibilities and limitations of the industry as a greener future is pursued.
After the company tour we visited the technical museum, which was exciting. The automotive section was really rich, but I enjoyed learning about the sundials more and the different devices people invented to keep time or find their way. Soon we will depart for our boat tour which includes a buffet dinner which I am looking forward to.
