Todays visits started with a stop to Medochemie. They are a pharmaceutical company that specializes in simple drugs and spreads them worldwide. We got a great presentation on their company goals, future, and progress. I was left with multiple questions on how they combated covid and hot they dealt with different insurance companies throughout the world. They fielded all of the questions and answered them all. After the presentation, we were given a tour of their storage facilities as they had innovated tech to fully optimize their storage space using a. storage facility on tracks, sliding left and right allowing for a corridor to create.

After our presentation, we had some free time to grab lunch and just relax for two hours. During this time I grabbed lunch and just relaxed.

Following our lunch break we headed to Columbia Shipmanagement Company to hear more about their company. They provided us with water bottles with their logo on them, which instantly made me like them more. CSM provides management of ships all over the globe. Following the presentation, we were shown their tracking room, which shows all of their ships all over the globe. The other room we were shown was the Emergency Room. In this room, when an incident occurs, a team gathers to discuss the following scenarios and solutions to resolve the issue. The room is full of ship schematics and blueprints. The staff at CSM was friendly and even joked around a bit showing a true sense of humor. This shows they have a good work environment creating a balance of hard work and a good time.

The employees of both companies were both very friendly and conversational. I really enjoyed getting to learn about what the companies had to offer and enjoyed speaking with their professionals about what makes them love their work.
