It was presentation day today. There were 4 groups today. Each group had to present about a company that we visited. These companies were Hoerbiger, Audi, Grob, and Forvia. Each of these companies is part of the automotive industry. I did my presentation on Hoerbiger. They focused on blocker rings and synchronized transmissions in the automobile industry.
While these company presentations were boring, it was interesting to see where the future of the automobile industry was heading. The market for internal combustion engines is no doubt dying off. With that, a new alternative has to be considered. These companies have to adapt to these changing markets either by switching to electric vehicles, using hydrogen fuel cells, or pursuing a different industry.
For breakfast today I had the standard hotel breakfast. For lunch, I ate an apple strudel and French fries at Augsburg University’s dining hall. It was an interesting lunch, but I wasn’t too hungry. For dinner, the group went to a restaurant called Ratskeller, located underneath the town hall. I had a schnitzel with French fries and a spezi which was delicious. It filled my belly and I was quite satisfied with my meal. The dining rating for today was an 8/10.
