Day 11 was the day I had been waiting for: beach day! We all had breakfast and then headed over to Machalilla National Park. We started by going on a short hike up to a lookout point where you could see the blue and beautiful Pacific Ocean. We also went to Playa Tortuga (Turtle Beach). I didn’t see any turtles but we did spot a blue footed boobie (it died shortly after, rip 💔). We swam in the ocean and got to enjoy the waves. The water was very clear and it was nice to be surrounded by all the rocks. We even saw a fish swimming really close to us as we were in the water. 

After getting back to your hotel and showering, we walked around and explored Puerto Lopez. I was very hungry and got shrimp at a nearby restaurant which did not disappoint. We also checked out some of the stores selling jewelry, clothes, and little trinkets to bring back home.
