Until next time

After all is said and done, there is much reflection to be had from this trip. Navigating around the country, whether it be with my group or by myself, has shown me so much more than I could have expected. When it comes to being in a foreign land, one can quickly learn how to act and how not to act by viewing the people around you. In every country, there are cultural differences that you learn through trial and error as well as observation. It also helps to be friendly as you can pick up much more from chatting with locals. With regard to the educational/business portion of this trip, I am happy to say that I connected with a lot of interesting people along the way, from CEA CAPA staff, to guest lecturers, to professionals in their work environment. Some of the most beneficial interactions came from asking questions to the individuals from the plethora of companies we visited. Learning from people in the field who have been through everything we will eventually go through is inspiring in a way. It shows that through perseverance and determination, we can achieve our goals and end up where we want to be. From this trip, I would say that my networking skills have increased considerably both from attending Rob Cullen’s lecture in addition to simply going out and talking to people of all different backgrounds. As my closing remarks, I want to give thanks to the Pitt staff who accompanied us on this trip, as they proved to be patient, kind, and were overall a pleasure to travel with.
