Hi! My name is Meena Rajesh, and I am a marketing and business analytics major at the College of Business Administration here at the University of Pittsburgh. I am a freshman from Blue Bell, Pennsylvania. In my free time, I enjoy running, lifting, and reading. On campus, I am involved in Alpha Kappa Psi (a professional business fraternity), Tri Delta (a social sorority), Socially Responsible Investment Portfolio, and Hindu Student Council. I am traveling to South Korea for my Plus3 Program. I am hoping to learn how technology and business intersect in the professional world.
Personally, I am hoping to expand my horizons. I am a huge foodie, and I am so excited to try authentic Korean dishes. I have a food account on instagram where I post new foods I try: @meenbeanenjoysfood. Foods like bibimbap, jajangmyeon, and tteokbokki intrigue me. Additionally, I am passionate about fashion and beauty. I am enthusiastic to be in arguably the cosmetic center of the world. Ultimately, my desire to travel to South Korea is driven by a deep-seated curiosity to explore the unknown.
On an academic level, I look forward to seeing how business analytics applies in real life through the company tours that we embark on. I am eager to explore the bustling business districts of Seoul, engage with industry professionals, and gain insights into how data analytics are used to drive efficiency, enhance competitiveness, and foster growth within Korean companies.
Professionally, Korea presents itself as a promising environment for professional advancement, and I eagerly look forward to the growth and opportunities that await me on this adventure. Being able to see the applications of analytics and marketing up close will provide me with a unique perspective on business enterprises when I enter the workforce.
Overall, I cannot wait to embark on this journey and get closer with my group mates!
