Company Day

Today was a day full of company visits. We started the day off at GROB. GROB has been my favorite company that we have toured so far. The facilities were so modern, elegant, and most of all… CLEAN! I wonder how they manage to keep the production rooms so clean when they are doing hard work. This company is massive and way bigger than I thought going into it. They had 10 factory buildings as well as cafeterias, offices, and lounge buildings. This is a company that seems like a good time to work at and they care about their employees. Walking into GROB really displayed the quality that GROB provides. The welcome room was a massive room with just a welcome desk and some displays. Yet again, so simple, elegant, and modern which describes their business so well.

After GROB, we visited Forvia. This company was a unique experience. We started with a brief meeting about the company and an agenda of what our visit entailed. After that, we suited up to enter the factory. We were given safety glasses, shoe covers, and a lab coat. We got to watch the John Deere engine be made which was super cool as well as a Porsche radio which costs 12K!
