Grob and Foriva were on the agenda for today. Both were great. Grob’s tour was unbelievable. They had the best facilities and campus out of all the companies so far. Our tour guide was great too. It was cool to see how many things manufactured in that place is all automated. There was a lot of traffic as forklifts and even automated robots were driving throughout all of the warehouses. I would definitely work there as they treat their employees very well too.
Forvia was a smaller plant, however. On our tour, our guide showed us the parts they make for engines, and we actually got to saw an exhaust being made in front of us. I think that the part where they were talking about the hydrogen tank and the future of potential hybrid cars was very interesting. I almost liked it more than the tour. There is a lot of potential concerns and benefits with using hydrogen, but it will be worth keeping an eye on these next couple of years. Overall, it was an informational-heavy day, but was worth learning and hearing about the future of the automobile industry,
