We started the day as always, with an early start and breakfast at the hotel. We left the hotel with the German students who were doing their presentation on Grob. After a little while, we arrived and were greeted with refreshments and a general presentation on who Grob is and what they do. We received a tour of several different buildings that make machinery for different companies. I really enjoyed seeing what companies they made machines for, like Audi, Tesla, etc. We got a few more presentations and then headed down to their cafeteria for lunch which was delicious! I think I would like to work at Grob because the space was very open and somewhere I could see myself working in a nice environment. I also really liked what they did and seeing the daily operations in their factories.
We left Grob shortly after and headed back to Augsburg to tour Forvia. We were joined by the German students in the Forvia group, and upon arrival received more refreshments and another intriguing presentation. I really enjoyed learning about Forvia and am definitely interested in what they produce. We went for a facility tour, and it was so cool to see the robots building car parts, hearing the iconic sound of a Porsche, etc. After the tour, we went back to hear more presentations and opportunties at Forvia. I could definitely see myself working at Forvia, as I think what they do is so cool and they are making strives to keep up with the fast-paced automotive industry.
