Today we went to the Neuschwanstein Castle. We left this morning around 7:30 to start our ventures to the castle. Once we arrived we had a 30 minute hike up to the castle. The hike was a lot of fun, but it was super hilly.
Once we got towards the top of the hill we went over to a bridge where we had a beautiful view of the castle. The bridge was filled with plenty of tourists. To be honest I was pretty scared. I wasn’t scared of the hike. I just didn’t like how the wood on the bridge would bend everything I took a step on. It felt like if I jumped on the bridge I would have fallen straight through the bridge.
After admiring the bridge for a little we went on our tour in the castle. It amazed me how intricate and detailed the building was. It amazes me that the castle was not that old, it was built in the 1900s. It surprised me that King Ludwig had such a beautiful castle to himself where he didn’t share it with anyone else. This castle that he built was designed to be his private get away.

After we toured the castle we went to a local doughnut shop. The doughnuts were three little balls that were super airy and flavorful. There was also powdered sugar on the doughnuts giving them even more flavor.
After we got the doughnuts we walked back down the mountain and headed to the town called Fussen. Fussen was a super busy town which was filled with so many people and dogs. We stayed in the town for about an hour and a half. We got a quick bite to eat there then we headed back.

Our final stop was seeing the chapel Wildsteig. The chapel was so beautiful and intricate. It was the biggest chapel I have ever been in. I was surprised that such a beautiful chapel was in such a boring and bland place.

After our stop at the chapel, we went back to Augsburg where I fell asleep immediately. It was a great day!
