GreenViet is a very successful green building consultant located in Vietnam. The location of GreenViet’s office was beautiful and I was very impressed by the inside of it as well. Although GreenViet has had a lot of success over the years, it is pretty newly founded. I am pursuing a certificate in Entrepreneurship and Innovation so the many reasons for its sudden success really interested me.

I believe the sustainability practices that GreenViet chooses to utilize is a big reason for its success. The building consultant completes energy and water audits . Doing this allows GreenViet to investigate and analyze the end results/performances of the systems. Overall, this will allow for any improvements needed. I believe small practices like these audits truly make GreenViet different from competing building consultants.

I think the company is very reliant to international business. I remember Mr. Quang stating that his first client was not from Vietnam. He has had clients from many different nations across the world and also has worked with many universities across the world. This is essential to GreenViet’s success because especially in this generation working with many different nations is the key one’s success., which I believe Mr. Quang has clearly proven through GreenViet.

GreenViet was a site visit that defiantly surprised me because I think it was the perfect mix of both engineering and business. Mr. Quang really demonstrated and proved that engineering and business are very intertwined with one another which I really appreciated seeing.

As the first week is ending, I am looking back at all the things I have learned so far. I’ve discovered so many foods that I probably would have never tried if it weren’t for this trip. I have made so many new friends with different backgrounds that I am going to stay in touch with after this trip. I also have gained so much knowledge about the Vietnamese way of living which I will 100% remember for the rest of my life. As much as I’m sad this week is ending, I am looking forward for all the new experiences I gain in the following week!
