Local life

We started our day on the train. I’ve noticed that boarding and riding the trains are much simpler and relaxing than in America. It is similar to riding the bus or a tram. But we joined some German students and went to Landsberg am Lech. The original plan was to go to Ulm but due to some construction, we changed plans. This town was cool because it had a lot of history associated with it. The prison is the same prison that Hitler got arrested in, and it’s still a prison today. We walked around and tried some food and shopped for souvenirs. We also spent some time on a nature walk and just got to enjoy the beauty of the town. Our program time ended a little bit earlier than normal and when we got back to Augsburg, some of us decided to get our nails done.

It was a little bit difficult to navigate due to the language barrier, but it was so much fun and it all worked out at the end. To finish off our day, we went to a local restaurant and tried some new foods. I’m a very picky eater, but I absolutely loved what I got. It was tomato and walnut paste with brie cheese and it was so so good and I will definitely be going back.

After this, we made a quick stop at the grocery store for some snacks before we ended our day early and all hung out at the hotel for a little bit. It was a relaxing day, but I loved getting to take my time to explore things.!!
