After an early rise to catch a train to Munich, my first steps into the city were not similar to my other days in Germany. It was much more touristy! There were lots of people in the streets, more familiar stores, and also more travelers. It was interesting to see a more touristy location as that is not something that I have been subjected to during my time here.

The first stop we had was with the tour guide. I am actually very thankful we were able to do this. Not only was she a great tour guide, but there is a lot going on the city and she was able to explain some cool history to us. We were not the only tour though, as many other tours bumped into us on our walk. An interesting stop we had was the Michael Jackson shrine. He visiting Munich and stayed in the hotel that was right near the shrine. Many times the police or government has tried to take the shrine down but people keep on putting it back. This determination of the MJ fans was amazing!

We then were brought to a natural wave that goes on forever. People come from all over the world to surf this wave. It was super cool to see how everyone nicely waited in line to be able to surf (I am not sure if this would happen similarly in the states). There were some really talented surfers and some that only went for bit. Regardless every person got right back in line and went again. This was awesome to see. Moreover, it was a busy day so the surfers were spraying the spectators.

Lastly, we went by the original Hofbrauhaus and I had schnitzel for the first time! It was so yummy. I really enjoyed the large chuck of lemon on the side. Although this area seemed super touristy, it was still enjoyable. I ate my lunch next to the Hard Rock Cafe, which is not something I would do in Augsburg. Despite the busy day, it was super rewarding. Munich is so large and full of culture, I could do a trip to just there!
