Today, I sadly missed the activities, I felt ill so I had to rest and miss the Guacho show. While learning from friends and looking up information, Guacho is extremely important in Argentina culture. A Guacho show is where they dance and perform tricks. The Gaucho culture is defined through the music, literature, and theater. It emphasizes the importance of living plain and their second nature is living with their horses, drinking mate and eating meat. Get rid of being in vegetarian if you ever wanted to practice life as a Guacho, all they do is cook meat. They care for their horses and livestock while living in a ranch. The main values of the people are hospitality, solidarity and ,courage. While watching Youtube videos, Guachos are protective people who look after their family, land, and their cattle. The culture of these people is to live with little to no materialistic items and find happiness and freedom in life. They are humble individuals who seek true happiness in life. The Guacho life is not only prominent in Argentina, but other countries such as Uruguay, Brazil, and the southern part of Chile.
Tomorrow is Mother’s Day and I won’t be able to spend it with my mom due to being in Argentina but if I was there we probably would have gone to our favorite Cuban spot and I would have taken her out. My mother is my best friend and knows me better than anyone, she can read me like a book and someone I can always confide in. She knows how to make me laugh and always gives me the best advice. She is the most hardworking, beautiful woman I know and I aspire to be just like her. Since I was little she always believed in me and made sure I got every opportunity and thing I wanted. She’s also my favorite travel buddy, even if she doesn’t like what Im doing such as jet skiing, she will def watch from afar and take pictures of me for memories. She’s the best mom ever. She showed me what a good mother is and I want to be just like her when it’s my time to have children.
