The day started off a little bit rough. I woke up at 7 AM to go get some euros for our shopping day today, but it turns out the bank was closed and I accidentally woke up much earlier than I needed to. It all worked out though because I got to have a calm breakfast before we got on the train, which we ended up having to de-board and then re-board which made us a little bit late for our Munich city tour. The scenery on the train is always calming, beautiful and relaxing before our long day. We then met our lovely tour guide, who showed us all around the city, my favorite part had to of been the church which was built in only 20 years. This was because there was no financial issues to delay construction. The architect used the money from selling indulgences. It was believed that no architects could finish a project this large so fast, so people thought he must have made a deal with the devil. I thought this legend was super cool because they had the supposed footprint of the devil in the entrance of the church.

Another part of the tour I thought was fun was the Michael Jackson shrine which the city had tried to shut down several times before, but the fans kept remaking the shrine

After we wrapped up the tour, I was able to find a bank and get some euros and then we went to the nearest smoothie shop. After this, we visited the Hofbräuhaus house and split up to go shopping. After about 3 to 4 hours of shopping, we got butter pretzels and made our way to dinner. We decided to go to a burger place, which was so so good. Although I’m sure anything would’ve been good since we were all starving and tired. We ended up finishing our day around 8 PM and we took a train back to Augsburg to relax for the rest of the night. It was really cool learning about the history of the city and seeing some of the locals having fun and hanging out.
