Today, we departed the hotel at 9 am to attend a Taekwondo class. While there, the group had time to work on the different essentials of martial arts. The main focus was on reflexes and balance. I did well on the reflexes part, but the balance part is a work in progress.
Next, our destination was Seoul City Hall. We got a short tour of the building. They talked about important moments and the history of Korea while guiding us through the rooms. The most memorable place for me was the old mayor’s office. In the office, we got to see the mayor’s office, boardroom, and planning room. For the new office, the tour only showed us the lobby. Additionally, our tour guide mentioned how the 1988 Olympics helped Korea prosper. The Olympics helped enhance their global image and provided much-needed revenue to further development of their country.

After the tour, Dr. Yun decided to send us on a scavenger hunt. He let the group leaders randomly choose a place. We needed to find Seoul Station. Luckily, it was the closest place on the list, so we found it quickly. My group found the location the fastest out of all the groups. Once we found it, we headed to the hotel. However, Dr. Yun had other plans. He decided we found it too fast and gave us another location. This location was the Myungdon Catholic Church. Luckily, it was only a short nine-minute walk from our hotel. Once found, the group started to go back to the hotel again. However, we ended up going to a Cat Cafe. I am not much of a cat person, so I did not enjoy it as much as others. However, the cafe was an oddly relaxing place. I got to sit on the floor while listening to calming music.
