Today we took a train to Munich and spent the entire day exploring the city. For reference, Munich to Augsburg is like Philadelphia to Pittsburgh in population difference. When we got there we started with a guided city tour. We learned a lot about the history of Munich and Germany as a whole. We began a the Marienplatz where we started today’s tour. After the tour, we all had lunch at the original Hofbrauhaus, below are pictures of my meal and the building.

After lunch we were able to split up and explore the city. I decided to see more of the city instead of shop and I went to the New Town Hall as well as climb to the top of St. Peter’s Church. Below is a photo of the beautiful historic library which resides in the Town Hall, which is the feature image on this post. I took that photo from the top the church.

At 6 PM we all gather back up to have a group dinner at a burger place called Hans im Glück. It was very tasty and we got to have fun nonalcoholic cocktails. Overall, it was a fun filled day and we also got to learn a lot about the history of Munich and Germany as a whole.
