“More company visits” is the motto of the day for the beginning of our final week (Yes, I know Sunday begins the week but I didn’t include that in the last blog so forgive me for putting it here). After a late night, I woke up sleepily to make the trip out to Asan where both of the companies we visited were. The two in question are Hyundai Asan and TK Elevators.
Before we had our tours, we had a quick lunch because of how early we left. It was Shabu-shabu which I don’t think I’ve had before. Let’s just say, I had about four or five bowls before I was done. I was quite hungry from not eating breakfast for the first time on this trip.
For the first tour, we went to Hyundai. While the beginning of the visit was slow, it was really cool once we actually went into the manufacturing plant. Our guide showed us around the entire factory and we were able to see the full process of how all their cars were made. They even had miniature cars on the wall of all their models from the beginning. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to take any photographs, so the images will stay only in our minds.
Later, we went to TK Elevators and were given a tour around their facility as well. They had so many things such as electronic golf courses, movie rooms, and so much more. The elevators were also, as expected, really fast. We were able to go from floor 1 to 40 in like 30 seconds or something around that.
Overall, both of the trips were very informative and I was able to learn a lot about both companies. This also left me tired, but I still had to eat dinner. Me and some others went to get some Italian food which was surprisingly really good! I had some carbonara pasta and a chocolate scone.
Another night has come, and the time left shortens. I can’t believe there is only a few days left. I will be sure to get another blog out tomorrow.
