Our day in San Jose

We visited many different tourist locations today in San Jose, and I enjoyed the sights of the mountains from the museum. They were terrific, and they overlooked a decent amount of the city. The shopping center was also a unique experience. There were no cars, just thousands of people crowding the streets. The culture of all the stores is much different than the US. With all these shops located outside, the front door is propped open, and there is just significantly more foot traffic because e-commerce could be more robust here. This ties to the need for street addresses in San Jose. This strongly impacts their logistics and the difficulty of shipping and receiving. Implemented addresses similar to the United States will do economic wonders to push the Costa Rican economy forward.

Andrew Carnegie, a figure of historical significance, left his mark on both Pittsburgh and San Jose. In Pittsburgh, he revolutionized the steel industry, a legacy that still resonates today. In San Jose, he founded a court of justice to settle disputes of border controversy, a testament to his influence. The cities also share a reliable transportation system. Pittsburgh’s public transportation, once known as Port Authority, is now called Pittsburgh Regional Transit. It features trolleys spanning from the south hills to the city, and buses reaching the other areas. San Jose, on the other hand, relies on trains and buses for its transportation needs.

The impact of coffee is apparent today, with part of the city located where the first coffee plantation was located in Costa Rica. Based on its previous success and impact on sparking the country’s economy, an economy and market were built directly over it.
