Final day in Augsburg

Today was officially our last day in Augsburg and our last chance to do anything in Augsburg. We woke up early and took a two hour bus ride to Regensburg, where we got a tour of the city. The city was absolutely beautiful. The tour was a little bit long, but nonetheless very interesting. I think everyone was tired, but we still managed to take in all the sites.

We got to see the Dom which was gorgeous. It is a Gothic themed cathedral, that brought the town together.

After our guided tour, we got some lunch at Dean and David, where I tried some new food. I wasn’t the biggest fan of it, but I’m glad I tried it. After lunch we walked around a little bit, found some adorable shops and got some gelato. We found a really cool record store where $50 records in America were super cheap here. The shop seem to be right out of the movie and I was able to find some fun records.

After Regensburg we went to Walhara. Walhara is a temple overlooking a river that holds some of Germany most important or famous people. it was absolutely stunning and definitely one of the top things we did in Germany. We took some photos, stopped at a little snack shack and made our way back to Augsburg.

We had our last meeting and said goodbye to some of the German faculties and TAs that helped us throughout the trip, which was a reality check that our trip is almost over. It feels like it went so fast. The days were long, but the weeks were fast and I met some amazing people that I’m going to be friends with for a long time, whom I’m extremely grateful for. After we got back to Augsburg we did some last-minute shopping and got dinner at the same place we had the introductory dinner at, Al Drago, which was a full circle moment. Once we got back to the hotel I had to do some some packing and get ready for bed to prepare for our last, super fun trip for tomorrow.
