Today was our last day in Costa Rica. While I’m very sad to be leaving, I’m also excited to see my family and friends back home. Throughout the trip I learned a lot about the different industries in Costa Rica, mainly coffee, and the designing and launching of it.

Firstly, coffee producing starts at the farm. While there isn’t much to talk about the designing and launching of coffee at the farm, Costa Rica’s coffee farms benefit from the country’s diverse climate and volcanic soil. The high elevations and rainfall during the wet season provide ideal growing conditions. Coffee cultivation occurs in areas with rich volcanic soil, allowing for the slow growth of dense beans with distinct flavor profiles.

Next for processing mills and exporters, where wet processing became the standard method for producing coffee in Costa Rica during the early 19th century. The country’s abundant water supply facilitated the adoption of this technique. Wet-processed coffee gained international recognition for its consistent, clean taste. Costs Rica’s commitment to quality has been a hallmark of its production, ensuring that its coffee remains a favorite among coffee drinkers worldwide.
