Adiós Argentina

Today, we left our second home, Argentina. In the morning, I went to Templo Libertad and after, I got a bagel with lox and cream cheese with a coffee, obviously. After, we had a final bbq with IES and ate Choripan and queso bites. My travels were as follows: bus to airport, plane to Atlanta, plane to Philadelphia, train to Penn station, train from Grand central to Beacon, and a car ride to Massachusetts for my brothers graduation.

In regards to todays prompt about phones, personally, I believe the phones of anyone younger than 15 should be smashed. I’ve seen the effects of receiving phones too early, especially with self-image and having an inability of maintaining real life conversation. However, anyone older than 15 years old should have a phone because it contains endless opportunities. Sorry Grant! Without my phone, I would have been unable to network with the volunteer, work, and scholarship opportunities that I’ve been blessed with. In addition, I would visit the city by myself or with friends. The city is an extremely unsafe place for women, especially since safety is difficult to ensure without pepper spray, which is illegal. In order to ensure my safety, I needed my phone to communicate with my parents and friends and find directions. Also, I’ve created deeper connections with my friends because they’re at my finger tips. Whenever I’m upset and I can’t tell my parents, I know I can shoot them a text to ease my woes. However, it is ultimately the parents’ decision to decide whether their children receive phones or not.
