Day 11: Presentation Day + Final Goodbyes

Everyone met up today at the University of Augsburg to present our research on our respective companies and their role in the automobile industry. Given our short amount of time to prepare our 30 minutes presentations, each group did a fantastic job. Collaborating with the students in Germany was a great opportunity. I really learned a lot about our similarities and differences in the education systems and our academic experiences/expectations.

After the presentations I took some time to explore Augsburg further. I went to the Maximilian Museum which can be seen in the featured photo. It was cool to see all the exhibits but there was minimal English so it was difficult to understand it all (I used a translation app when I could). After, I did some souvenir shopping and I bought my mom a Mother’s Day gift at the store shown below.

In the evening, we all gathered to have our final goodbye dinner as a group at Ratskeller in Augsburg. I finally tried some schnitzel which is pictured below. It was bittersweet to say goodbye to the new friends we made. Luckily a few of them will be in Pittsburgh this fall to study at Pitt.
