Hi! My name is Katie Kubay, and I am a freshman at the University of Pittsburgh studying Finance and Accounting with a certificate in Leadership and Ethics. On campus I love to get involved. I am a member of the Alpha Kappa Psi professional business fraternity, Sigma Delta Tau social sorority, and Frederick Honors College. I also enjoy traveling, so I am extremely grateful Pitt offers the Plus3 program to first-years. Professionally I am looking to challenge myself through networking and taking on resume building positions.

I wanted to travel to Cyprus because of the numerous site visits that discuss supply chain. I have not learned much about supply chain management yet since I am a freshman, but I am a curious mind who is always eager to learn more. I have learned many new things through the classes and modules we have done to prep for this trip. The beautiful blue waters also certainly enticed me. I have also heard so many good things from older students who also went on this trip. I hope to build on my networking skills and build confidence. If I put myself out there abroad, it will be easier in my home country. Plus3 is such a wonderful opportunity for professional development, which is something I can never get enough of as a business major.
