Hi everyone! My name is Max Krajnikovich, and I am a freshman at the University of Pittsburgh’s College of Business Administration, double majoring in Supply Chain Management and Finance. I’m from Bucks County, Pennsylvania, and I’ve always had a deep passion for travel and experiencing new cultures. From touring Yosemite in Jackson Hole Wyoming to sand surfing through the deserts of Dubai, I’m grateful for the many opportunities that have expanded my worldview. Traveling to South America will mark the fourth continent I’ve visited and bring me one step closer to achieving my personal goal of setting foot on all seven before I turn 21.
One of the main reasons why I chose Pitt was because of the amazing study abroad opportunities that are offered. This summer I am thrilled to be participating in the Plus3 program to Argentina where I will hear insights into all the aspects of healthcare management. This will offer a strong foundation as I prepare to begin my internship as an operations manager. I am especially interested in understanding how the Argentine healthcare system works, how it compares to the United States, and how its financial factors influence their healthcare delivery.
As someone aspiring to pursue a career in consulting after college, I chose this program to deepen my understanding of the complexities within healthcare management. Gaining first hand experience with international healthcare systems will not only enhance my academic learning but provide insights that will shape my approach to solving complex business problems. I believe the career development opportunities offered by this experience will significantly support both my personal growth and professional goals. By the end of this journey I hope to see memorable places and create lifelong memories that I will be proud to share with others.
