Hi! My name is Zachary Call, and I’m a first-year Industrial Engineering student at the University of Pittsburgh’s Swanson School of Engineering. I’m also a cadet in the ROTC program and a German speaker with a strong interest in global business. I enjoy hiking, travel, and gaining personal and professional experiences.
For my Plus3 program, I chose Costa Rica because of the unique educational and cultural opportunity it offers. As someone studying Industrial Engineering, I’m especially interested in learning about Costa Rica’s approach to sustainable industry and how supply chains operate in a global context. I hope this experience will deepen my understanding of supply chain systems, expose me to real-world engineering applications, and help me become a more well-rounded global professional. I’m also excited to immerse myself in a new culture, connect with peers and professionals, and take in the natural beauty and innovation that Costa Rica is known for.
