Lama Meets Llama <3

After a long day of travelling, we finally reached Quito! We woke up and went to the church & monastery. It was my first time stepping into a church and I was flabbergasted from how breathtaking the gold interior was. Our tour guide was very informative and passionate when explaining Ecuador’s history. We also went on the rooftop and saw the whole city view which was amazing. It was also Mother’s Day, so it was more crowded than usual (due to the parades and markets). For lunch & dinner, we ate Ecuadorian dishes which reminded me of food back home in the Middle East. After that, we decided to go see Virgen de el Panecillo upclose. There were a bunch of food stands so we decided to grab some cotton candy which we haven’t had in a long time. Spontaneously, we also played volleyball with a bunch of locals which was really fun! Moreover, the highlight of my day was getting to see a real life Llama/Alpaca and take pictures with it.
