Although the two days worth of flying left everybody exhausted, we were immediately rejuvenated by a good nights sleep and the excitement of the day ahead. Today was all about traditional cypriot cuisine, from the hotel breakfast to the cooking demonstration at the University of Nicosia, we made and ate a ton of food many of us had never even heard of. The staff was extremely friendly and even let some of us engage in preparing the food, which was very fun. Soon we will be on a walking tour of the old city, with our final destination being a welcome dinner. I’m so glad we were able to take a day and dedicate it to the amazing food that Cyprus has to offer.
