Today we started the day off with a yummy buffet breakfast in the hotel which is very different form buffets in US hotels. The breakfast consists of a lot of protein including eggs, ham, bulgogi, and much more. After that we boarded the bus with our guide, Jinny, and headed out to Hwaseong Fortess. We walked along a part of the wall of the fortress, which ends up totaling almost 6 km. It was a beautiful day to spend outside and provided a great opportunity to take in the scenery. When we were there we also got the chance to practice archery! (It was definitely a lot harder to hit the targets than it looked).

After the fortress, Dr. Yun took us to get some traditional Korean food for lunch! I got the chance to try spicy pork, fried squid, and a kimchi pancake (My favorite was the kimchi pancake but the spicy pork was very close). We also stopped at a cafe and I got lactylicious blueberry ice cream. Then, we made our way to the Samsung Innovation Museum. We got to see the history behind the innovations and see their most recent technological innovations and how they are all able to work together. It was so cool to see the vast advancements in technology they have made in the past couple of decades and see how high-tech their modern appliances are.

After Samsung we headed to Myeongdong to shop and have our official welcome dinner. The dinner consisted of a main dish and 18 different sides! My favorites were the fish, bulgogi, and the glass noodles. When dinner ended we got the opportunity to spend the rest of the evening in Myeongdong, where we walked around and shopped. It was another great daay and I can’t wait to see what tomorrow will offer!
