Today started off with a tour of the Huaseong Fortness, which was an incredibly unique experience where we got a piece of Korean history and an awesome round of archery! What I liked most about this was the scenery. This was one of the most beautiful parts of South Korea yet. Cleanliness, excitement, and beauty made this place outstanding and definitely worth a visit!

Our second destination was the Samsung Innovation Museum (SIM). Here, we were given a summary of the history of electricity, and where exactly Samsung came about to take the reins of innovation. My favorite part of this trip was experiencing the new innovations Samsung was in the process of releasing to the public. Here, they have us a rundown of a washing machine that cleans and dries clothes in one go, a new AI smartphone that is more powerful than ever, and finally, a smart fridge that keeps track of every food item you place inside. I can’t wait to see these products released into the market so that I can try them for myself.
Myeong-dong is our final destination and my favorite part of today. This bustling tourist attraction is filled with amazing food, great shopping, and most importantly, good times. A couple of friends and I made it to a great shop where we found Korean streetwear. I made sure to get my brother a gift and got myself some clothes as souvenirs. Walking around the streets, you can see some delicious Korean street food. Even though I didn’t try any, many options caught my attention, such as Korean corn dogs, fried cheese, fried chicken, and lobster. Once we go back here, I’ll be sure to eat as much food as I can. The reason I didn’t eat was that I had to attend the main dinner. Dr. Yun organized an alumni meet-and-greet dinner, which was delicious and very informative. This was some of the best food I had on the trip, where the Kimchi especially was something to dream of.

I can’t wait to move onto day 3!
