Today was my very first day in Vietnam and throughout the day I got to try some really amazing food and drinks. To start out my day I had breakfast at the hotel and ate at two different restaurants for lunch and dinner. Somethings I did notice about the cuisine is that the kind of food they eat remains the same for all three meals, it is usaully rice served with some kind of protein like pork, chicken, or steak. Also, unlike America, the dessert they eat is a healthy sweet soup.
During our city tour in the afternoon, I noticed that everyone in the city drove a motorbike to get around instead of driving a car. Also, the Communist party and Vietnam flag were hung up frequently throughout the city. This shows globalization because they have learned adopted the beliefs as their own from learning it from someone else. Overall, thanks to UEF’s hospitality I felt welcomed and enjoyed my first day.
