History: US & Argentina

The histories of the two nations, The US and Argentina, are both very similar and very different. To start with the obvious one like geographically; the two countries are in very different places and have different religions and cultures. But both countries were born via independence from a colonial power. The difference being the US in 1776 from England and Argentina in 1816 from Spain.

Throughout each nations history there has been a struggle for unity and identity, the United States had to fight its own civil war and Argentina had to go thought different times of political turmoil and violence. Something both nations share in their histories, but in the end it has lead to a democratically elected government for both nations. Also, both nations had different waves of immigration from Europe and all over the world. With the United States getting a mixed bag of everyone while Argentina had mainly Italians and those from Spain immigrate. Also, like in New York City Buenos Aires has a large jewish population.

And there are a few differences in each nations histories like how the United States has had an election every 4 years since the country was founded, while in Argentina there have been dictators and a paused democratic process. And another difference is the economies of the two countries and their growth and stabilization. The United States experienced the industrial revolution in the early 1800s while Argentina is still a mainly agricultural country with some industrialization that popped up in the 1950s.

Overall there are many differences and similarities between the histories of the two countries.
