After a very long travel day, we finally arrived in Augsburg! When we arrived, our hotel room wasn’t ready yet so we took a small tour of Augsburg and ate some snacks. Then we had a small break so we decided to go to a park and take a nap to hopefully relieve the jet lag. The park was beautiful and a very peaceful place to nap. After this, we had a more in-depth tour of the city. We got to learn about landmarks and the history of the city. What stuck out to me on this tour was The Fuggerei which is social housing where citizens only have to pay rent of .88 euros. This place is full of history and it was very interesting to learn about. After the tour, we went to dinner where I ate my very first German meal. Overall, I loved exploring the city and seeing what Augsburg has to offer. I’m looking forward to the next two weeks here!
