Day 5 in Seoul.

Today was one of the best days in Seoul so far! Taekwondo was an absolute blast to learn and practice. We started off getting our uniforms, which looked very cool. My favorite part of this experience was the sparring. The goal of this was to tap the other person on the shoulder and try to avoid their counterattack. My partner and I had as much fun as possible doing this and were both sweating like crazy after. Ultimately, this was one of the most fun experiences in Seoul yet, and I can’t wait to learn more about this awesome art someday again.

Then we took a look at Seoul City Hall. Built in 2012, this beautiful building stands glamorously in Northern Seoul. Approximately 200 million USD was poured into this place, and for good reason. Here hosts great cafes, a library featuring thousands of books, a grand stage, and a large garden inside. Just fitting for the mayor of Seoul. Our tour guide was one of the nicest people we met on the trip so far too. He was an old man, about 70 years old, making jokes with us and taking pictures with our Plus3 members, which made us feel really welcomed. The city hall was magnificent, as Dr. Yun told us to be.

Our group ended the day in Myeong-Dong again. This time, I shopped mainly for skincare for my girlfriend. Given a list of multiple items, I made sure to get as many things as possible and came back with about 5 items. Then, we walked to another district of Myeong-Dong, which is mainly known for street vendors and being able to bargain with the shopkeepers. Here, the only thing that was open was pig feet vendors. My friend and I tried them and they weren’t good. At least we tried it!
